About the Artist

The inspiration behind TERRYs FAN CLUB is none other than Terry T, a musician and entertainment based out of San Diego, California. Terry’s talents include singing, dancing, playing keyboard and Talk Box, as well as producing and mixing music.

Hi, Fans!

I was born in Orleans, Louisiana. When I was about 5 years old, my Uncle Manky taught me how to play the drums. I used to play in school for a little while, but I eventually stopped. My mother, Gloria Reddick played the organ and piano in church, and I used to love to hear her play. We then moved to San Diego at the age of 13.

My favorite musical group was Roger and Zapp. Whenever I heard them sing, I would go crazy over their music. I loved the way Roger sang through the TALKBOX; it sounded so good to me. When I was 19 years old, I heard on the radio, 92.5, that Roger and Zapp was coming to San Diego's Sport Arena. I got my ticket and went to their concert. After the concert, Roger was taking pictures with all his fans for $10. Although I only had $5, I still went to Roger and started taking pictures with all his fans. I got very close to him and told him, “YOU ARE MY NUMBER ONE STAR.” He gave me a big hug, and that meant more to me than a picture.

When I was 24 years old, I started dancing in night clubs. I was also very fond of MC Hammer; I loved the way he danced. Apart from that, I wanted to learn the Roger Rabbit; my brother Pierre taught me the Roger Rabbit in the kitchen. As I got better, I became the best dancer in night clubs and had free entry to all of them. I eventually wanted to get into music. Problem was that I didn't know how to make music or beatbox like how Roger played bass guitar, keyboard, and other musical instruments.

One day, I went to Guitar Center, played the keyboard, and put on a beat that came out natural to me. Someone came up to me and said, “you sound good.” At first, I didn’t believe him at all; I just thought he was trying to make a sale.

Guitar Center was about to close when the same person came up to me again and introduced himself. “My name is Scott Weber,” he said. Scott invited me to his office. He asked me if I wanted to get into the music business. I said yes and introduced myself.

Since then, I had been going to Guitar Center every day for a while. I finally bought myself a Korg keyboard, but I have always wanted to play the Talk Box keyboard.

It is through the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ that I have come this far.

Terry at age 19.
